What we collect. When you contact us by email, phone or our website form, we collect your name, contact details, company and anything you tell us about your project. If we work together, we also keep project records: correspondence, site and design information, contracts, invoices and payment details. Our website collects basic usage data through cookies (see below).
Why we use it. We use it to reply to your enquiry and to take steps towards working together, to deliver our services and manage our contract with you, to run our business and keep accounts as the law requires, and to understand how our website is used. Our lawful bases are: taking steps to enter into or perform a contract, legal obligation, our legitimate interests in running and promoting our studio, and consent where we ask for it.
Who we share it with. Only the service providers who help us run the studio, such as our website host (Squarespace), email, accounting and cloud storage providers, and professional advisers such as our accountant. On a project, we may share relevant details with consultants, contractors or suppliers involved in it. We don’t sell your information. Some providers are based outside the UK, including in the USA. Where they are, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or approved contract clauses to protect it.
How long we keep it. Enquiries that don’t lead to a project: up to 2 years. Project and accounting records: 6 years after the project ends, as we need them for tax and legal claims.
Cookies. Our website uses cookies that it needs to work, and analytics cookies from Squarespace that help us see how visitors use the site. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link or your browser. Embedded content, such as Instagram, Vimeo or YouTube, may set its own cookies when you view it.
Your rights. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask us to transfer it to you or another provider. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email us and we’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
